Formed in 1996, Ptarmigan String Quartet is Celebrating More Than a Decade of Performing Music for Weddings, Receptions, Parties and other special occasions! Ptarmigan String Quartet receives rave reviews for its professional performances and outstanding customer service. Ptarmigan String Quartet is dedicated to providing the best service possible!

Our instruments include two violins, a viola, and a cello. A string quartet creates a rich, sonorous sound that evokes an air of romance and nostalgic elegance -- a perfect choice for wedding music! Although string quartets are traditionally associated with classical music, Ptarmigan's musicians are passionate about performing diverse genres of music including Classical, Pops, Jazz, Rock, and music from Broadway and the Movies. The Quartet has performed for hundreds of weddings and corporate events. Ptarmigan also performs public concerts and donates performances for community benefits such as the Boulder County Food Share program.

All four musicians are good friends and members of the Niwot Timberline Symphony in Boulder County. Among them, Ptarmigan's musicians have performed in many other accomplished symphony orchestras in Colorado, New Jersey, Ohio, and Virginia, including the Ohio State University Orchestra, Jewish Center Community Orchestra in Columbus, the Richmond Symphony, and the Plainfield Symphony. In their home state of Colorado, Ptarmigan's musicians have performed in the Boulder Philharmonic, and the Fort Collins, Longmont, and Jefferson Symphonies.
